Political efforts forge ahead over Libya crisis
More international manoeuvers unfolded Thursday to seek an early
end to the fighting and turmoil in Libya, while NATO said its
intervention has garnered additional support.UN Secretary-General Ban
Ki-moon discussed the current situation in the volatile North African
country over phone with Libyan Prime Minister Al Baghdadi Ali
Al-Mahmoudi."They discussed the urgent need to find a way out of the
current fighting and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation," said
Ban's spokesman, adding that the two also talked about how to work out
a transition that could bring peace to all Libyans.
