Accessories of a feather
Whether it's pheasant, rooster, peacock, or faux,Fakih slept through
an interview after a night of going to nightclubs with a girlfriend and
then lied about it, before being caught by underwater digital camera.
Fakih was sent home to Michigan by pageant officials for a few weeks to
contemplate, but they let her keep the crown again. feathers are
tickling our fashion fancy this season. They are a staple on dangling
earrings and the latest trend in hair extensions. (Thank you, Steven
Tyler.) Fascinators - those special-occasion headpieces gaining

top with a charcoal-gray feather print by A.L.C.

University, points to several fashion developments that are driving the
feather trend: As part of the industry's return to made-in-America
apparel, designers are turning to American Indian embellishments
including feathers, tassels, and suede. At the same time, Hayes said,
high fashion has been paying homage to the late British designer
Alexander McQueen, the subject of a macabre yet moving exhibition called
"Savage Beauty" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
